Lovelies, you’re not going to want to miss the Spring Tour just announced with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. As one of the best records of 2019, “Atonement” not only impressed me, but scads of others enough to grab the attention of the Grammy Awards gaining a Nominee spot for 2020’s BEST METAL PERFORMANCE for “UNLEASHED”.

Now, I have said this in prior writings about KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, whether you’re Team Jessie or Team Howard, “Atonement” seems to have more properties wound around the tracks than just KSE’s brand of metalcore. It shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what those elements of the human condition are when you let it sink in that LIGHT THE TORCH will join KSE Spring 2020.

When I reviewed the record back in August, here’s what I wrote in my review about the track, “The Signal Fire”:

THE SIGNAL FIRE – we’ve been patiently waiting for this: the signal calling out to like-minds that jump-starts our pulse. Balls out ballistic guitar solo that has a sweet vocal overlay at the beginning; insanely good! Just a forewarning – I almost lost my water at 1:59 mark! Wait for the change that is historic! – Cherri Bird (Record Review for AntiHero Magazine.com)

Earlier this Fall, the band released the OMV (Official Music Video) for “The Signal Fire”. I watched, knowing from the press release that HOWARD and JESSIE performed together, but I don’t know that I was fully prepared to visually see it. Even with just being familiar with the band back in their beginnings, watching these two Wonder Twin it up in the form of a super-sonic Rock Star was pretty f’ing emotionally stirring, I have to say. And ya, I cried. So what? It’s no big…

What is a big deal though, is this latest tour and both bands embarking on a big tour with AUGUST BURNS RED in March of 2020. This will be one for the record books Lovelies and I’m certainly not going to miss it, nor should anyone that is a fan of KsE or AUGUST BURNS RED.

Now, I’ve put the OMV for “The Signal Fire” here in this post just for you guys. And below the video you’ll be able to read what JESSE an, HOWARD, and JAKE have to say about the tour as well as the link to nab tickets and check the tour dates.

Check back as I will have more from bands on this tour leading up to the big rock show in Dallas! Now enjoy this killer video of “The Signal Fire” Featuring HOWARD JONES!

SINGERS SAY THIS ABOUT THE “ATONEMENT” TOUR:

KILLSWITH ENGAGE

“We are excited to bring out Light the Torch, first of all, because they are a killer band,” says singer Jesse Leach. “Obviously, having Howard out with us allows us to make this a tour to remember. I’ve always respected Howard as a singer, but in recent years, he’s become a friend. So it means more to me now than it would have in the past. We are happy to see him back up on the good foot and singing his heart out again in top form. With both August Burns Red and Light the Torch, there will be no punches pulled. Just a killer lineup. Fans won’t want to miss this tour. You will want to come early and stay late. All hails.”

LIGHT THE TORCH

“We are truly excited to be a part of the Atonement Tour with KsE and ABR,” says Jones. “This one has it all — old friends, new music, good times. Forget the world for a night and come hang out with three bands that want to make memories with you!”

ABR singer Jake Luhrs echoes the sentiment, saying, “We can’t wait to rip through North America with Killswitch Engage and Light the Torch! This tour has been in the making for a long time and I can’t wait to hit the road and show everyone what we’ve been working on. If you’re a metal fan, you’re not going to want to miss this one.”
